Cabin rentals in the Hocking Hills of Southeastern Ohio near Logan offer serenity, natural beauty and adventure. Visitors can spend the day relaxing or hiking.

Spending a weekend in a hot tub on the back porch of a cabin in the Hocking Hills is one way to relax and to rejuvenate. The hills, the lush forests, the variety of birds and animals make cabin renting in Southeastern Ohio quite enjoyable and the activities available range from a quiet retreat to an extreme adventure.

Cabins Offer Flexibility in Overnight Accommodations

Most cabin businesses offer a variety of cabin sizes and packages. Cabins can be booked for a romantic weekend getaway. Tucked away in the Hocking Hills near Logan, Ohio, these cabins offer privacy. Porches and fireplaces are popular places to unwind. Most cabins are equipped with a fully operational kitchen, whirlpool tub and hot tub. Some cabin businesses offer message, spa treatments, and gourmet meals in their cabin package.

For a family vacation, the cabins offer large spaces and a homey atmosphere to spend leisure time in nature. Cabins can sleep 2 to 10 people with multiple bedrooms. Many cabins offer gas grills and some have swimming pools on site. Family pets are welcome at some of these establishments. Prices start at around $69 per night.

Activities in the Hocking Hills in Southeastern Ohio Near Logan

The Hocking Hills of Southeast Ohio have much to offer including great hiking trails. The Hocking Hills Park offers many nature activities at Old Man’s Cave, Ash Cave, Conkle’s Hollow, Cedar Falls, Cantwell Cliffs, and Tar Hollow. The places are known for their rugged cliffs, waterfalls, stone bridges, and unique rock formations.

In addition, the Hocking Hills area also includes the Wayne National Forest, four nature preserves and nine state parts. Public hunting grounds for deer and turkey are available in the Wayne National Forest. Lake Logan, Lake Hope and the Hocking River give visitors a place to fish, boat, canoe, bird watch and swim.

At the Wayne National Forrest, All-Terrain Vehicles, horse and mountain bike trails are designated. Trails are open for use from April 16 to December 14 each year. Trail permits must be purchased to ride in the Wayne National Forest.

Specifically for the shopper, the Hocking Hills Farmers Flea Mark offers antique shopping. The Brass Ring is the local golf club. In addition, the Hocking Valley Scenic Railway, which is a non-profit volunteer operation, runs trains between Nelsonville and Logan. Starting in the middle of April until the beginning of November, train rides with historic stops are a family-friendly adventure.
