Cedar Point offers a variety of healthy food choices that can now be found throughout the Park. Here's an insider's guide to having fun while still eating right.

Voted "Best Amusement Park in the World" for the 11th consecutive year, Cedar Point, in Sandusky, Ohio is known for the delicious food and treats. However, a day in the Park doesn't mean a diet has to be sabotaged.

Eating healthy while on vacation can be challenging; the temptation for grabbing something quick doesn’t mean the only choices are going to ruin a healthy eating plan or diet. While visiting Cedar Point, "America's Roller Coast," it’ is pretty easy to still enjoy nutritious food between rides and attractions.

Recommendations for Healthy Eating at Cedar Point

  • Fresh salad bar at Joe Cool Café
  • Veggie burger at Johnny Rockets,
  • Fresh made garden salad at Chuck Wagon Inn
  • Grilled chicken breast sandwich at the Game Day Grille, on the Midway
  • Grilled chicken breast sandwich at Joe Cool Café, across from Planet Snoop
  • Crispy garden salad at Johnny Rockets, at the Midway
  • Chicken wraps at both Kiddieland Refreshments and Charlie Brown’s Cookout
  • Low-fat fresh-baked pretzels at Sweets and Treats, CJ’s Provisions and Pretzel Gourmet
  • Fresh rice bowls at Panda Express, near the Wild Cat
  • Veggie sub or Cold Cut Trio at either of the two Cedar Point Subways.
  • Sit down Hitachi Meals at Hotel Breaker's TOMO restaurant

Cedar Point also offers more relaxed dining in a sit-down atmosphere, which is always nice for a break from the hustle and bustle of the park. Their menus include many healthy options.

TGI Fridays on the Beach at Hotel Breakers

Bay Harbor, on the Sandusky Bay side of the Park

Breakwater Cafe, located near the Sandcastle Suites Hotel

Famous Dave's Bar -B-Q located near the Marina Entrance on the Bay side of the Park

Planning when and where to eat will help stay on a healthy eating plan, but also helps to get the most out of a day in the park. By setting up a schedule and knowing where to go in advance, it’s easy to make the time in the park memorable.

Cedar Point's Newest Menu Items

While maybe not on the list of extreme diet food, the new choices add more variety to Cedar Point’s traditional menus:

  • The giant burrito and walking taco at Los Gatos in Frontiertown
  • The new chicken and french fries basket at HurricaneHannah’s, on the Midway near the Front Entrance
  • Fresh made potato chips at the Chippery on the Frontier Trail
  • The new Dippin’ Dots sundae at Sweet Tooth in Frontiertown

So if the famous traditional Cedar Point french fries or delicious homemade ice cream from Toft’s Ice Cream Parlor don’t fit with a diet, Cedar Point now provide numerous options for their guests who want alternatives to the normal amusement park offerings and fare.
