Ohio has a variety of outlet shopping opportunites, from manufacturer stores, such as the Libbey Glass Outlet in Toledo, to spacious Outlet Malls.

Most offer a substantial savings over department store prices. Chance upon a sale and the savings are even greater. Below is a list of the best of Ohio's outlet stores (in random order):

Prime Outlets at Lodi -- Located about one hour south of downtown Cleveland just off of I-71, the Prime Outlets at Lodi are a collection of over 70 outlet retailers, including Brooks Brothers, SAS Shoes, Nautica, Tommy Hilfiger, Polo Ralph Lauren, and the Eddie Bauer Outlet. The spacious, cheerful complex has ample free parking, a children's playground, and fast food restaurants.

The Prime Outlets Lodi are open every day, except for Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day. Stores are open Monday through Saturday from 10am to 9pm and on Sunday from 11am to 6pm.

Prime Outlets at Jeffersonville -- Similar to the Prime Outlets in Lodi, this complex is located about an hour's drive west of Columbus, along I-71. There are over 100 outlet stores here, including Chico's, J. Crew, Tommy Hilfiger, Bass Shoes, Old Navy, Pottery Barn, Coldwater Creek, Coach, William Sonoma, and Eddie Bauer.

The Prime Outlets Jeffersonville are open every day, except for Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day. Stores are open Monday through Saturdays from 10am to 9pm and on Sundays from 10am to 7pm.

Toledo Ohio is called the "Glass Capital of the World." Where else would you expect to find discount glassware? The Libbey Glass Factory Outlet has a wonderful array of casual glassware, glass serving pieces, and glass novelties -- 16,000 square feet of it.

The Libbey Glass Outlet Store is open Monday through Friday from 930am to 530pm, Saturday from 8am to 5pm, and on Sunday from 10am to 5pm.

Aurora Farms Outlet Stores -- Located southeast of Cleveland in the suburb of Aurora, Aurora Farms is park-life complex with 70 outlet stores, including Jones New York, Saks Fifth Avenue, Tommy Hilfiger, Ralph Lauren, Brooks Brothers, Yankee Candle, and Eddie Bauer Outlet.

Aurora Farm Outlet Stores are open seven days a week. Hours are 10am to 9pm, Monday through Saturday and 10am to 6pm on Sundays.

German Village Book Loft -- Though not technically an outlet store, this fantasy bookstore in the heart of Columbus Ohio's German Village, has 32 rooms of discounted books and music which snake around an entire block of historic buildings. If you enjoy books, you must stop here.

The German Village Book Loft is open Sunday through Thursday from 10am to 11pm and on Friday and Saturday from 10am to midnight.
